I bet no one reads this, I haven't exactly been the most active deviant lately and what photos I do upload only get a few views so why should anyone care about a load of drivle i happen to spew over the keyboard. Nevertheless...

Accumulated a few more bits of kit lately, a few lenses (including a nikkor 85mm 1.8 *drule*) and other goodies to add weight to my camera bag but what I'm most excited about is my new film scanner.

For too long I've been pulling my hair because of the peice of s**t that is the ION 2 SD, everything's automatic, I have no control over gain/exposure or colour (every picture taken in daylight comes out blue) and it only scans at 240 dpi (5 megapixels). I convinced myself for months that I need a better scanner so I splashed out for the Plustek 7400 and not a hair on me regrets it. If you don't know what a 7400 is capable of, it scans at 7200 dpi (70 megapixels!!) and comes with SilverFast software which gives you loads of control over the image being scanned.

So, I've uploaded a few "urbex" (thats professional trespassing) pictures from some recent adventures to the gallery. One from St. Mary's mental asylum (one of MANY to come) and one from Lynemouth pithead baths. More images to come once they've been scanned, I'm quite excited about them all.
