Well, I don't write journal entries very often for the fear that they'll never be read but I feel that this one may be vital to my business.

Yes, I'm in business. Over the last year or so, I have been playing with the idea of becoming a self employed photographer so I have been slowly but steadily building my own website (with the few basic html skills I have), designing an image and logo, doing a few free jobs for experience, wedging my foot in a few doors, I even have some prints on display and my own business card

For the time being, I have a temporary website [link] which basically consists of a few of my favorite pictures and some vital contact information. I have a complete website waiting to be uploaded once I make a few finishing touches to it but I just needed to get something on the net as soon as possible as I've been giving out my business card which has the website address on it.

I welcome any suggestions on improving the website (even in its temporary stages) as this will be my main beacon for generating custom. When its come to starting up a business, I'm pretty sure I've thought everything through (one of my best friends has been in business with a comic book store for over 3 months and has passed on allot of pointers) and hopefully i'll be in a position where I can quit my job by this time next year
